In September/October, we carried out excavations at a hut circle at Skaill which had been identified through LiDAR. We believed that it represented the remains of a prehistoric roundhouse, but all was not as it seemed! Burnt mound, roundhouse, or some combination of the two..? Join us in November as AOC’s Graeme Cavers presents the intriguing results from our excavations!
